Partners
Our partners are so important and we accomplish a lot together! We are proud to be a collaborator with the Conejo Recreation and Parks District. As well, we hold our meetings at the wonderful Stagecoach Inn Museum, another CRPD facility. Finally, we hold our Archival meetings at the Chumash Interpretive Center, also a member of the CRPD Museum group. (Currently in person work at the Archives is in hiatus due to concerns with the COVID pandemic).
WHAT WE'VE ACHIEVED
Preservation of our prehistoric artifacts in our ever expanding collections.
Preservation of historic artifacts from Ventura County in our collaboration with local and regional Museums.
Ongoing organization and teaching at “Archives Days” at the Chumash Interpretive Center in our Archives.
Monthly meetings and speeches for the entire Ventura county community!
Collaborations with scholars who are writing about our historic past.
Continued emphasis on maintenance of a collection of maps, books and journals about our Ventura County.
Collaborations with other California Archaeological and Historical Societies in order to better convey the state of knowledge of our past!
We have updated our Archives- they are accessible to all scholars who are members of VCAS, including students.
