Our Collection contains fascinating artifacts- they tell a story!

We show images here that represent a variety of tools, fragments of artifacts, and decorations that were used by Early People in our region. How would you make these items? And what tools would you use? Did these Early People have those kind of tools?

We will be posting new videos from our Archival meetings soon- these will have images of the archaeologists and student volunteers working on the artifacts and the document archive in action. There is so much to be learned and we have the teachers here to help you understand the local collections!

Our March Speaker: Dr. Suzanne Scheld from CSUN!

Dr. Scheld will present her new research on a fascinating topic: Locating the Identity of the San Fernando History. She has worked on the collections from San Fernando and has new information and insights into that history. Dr. Scheld is the Department Chair of Anthropology at California State University Northridge. Our presentations will begin at 7 pm at the lovely Stagecoach Inn Museum on the second Tuesdays of each month.

February Speaker Don Liponi- Art of La Rumorosa!

Photogrammetry and Rock art- what’s not to like? Don Liponi will return to present his new book on La Rumorosa Rock art. Don presents the images he has taken via 3-D Photogrammetry and the results are so exciting! We invite you to our Presentation and hope that you wlll find his new book compelling. He will be autographing copies of his book.

DECEMBER POTLUCK 7 PM second Tuesday at our usual location!

BRING YOUR ENTREE AND JOIN US! Our annual Potluck for the Holidays is next week at 7 pm at Stagecoach Inn Museum. We will share our food, our tales of projects, and we will discuss upcoming events.
